Responsibility; keep it and believe it

Hi, my name is Lisa. I'm one of the scholarship students in Cita Hati Senior High School. From this post, I would like to share something with you. Responsibility is just a word, but has a great meaning. We all have our own responsibility, even if we're still a child. Parents responsible to take care of their children, children responsible to study and do the best, teachers responsible to teach clearly, and else. Responsibility is a trust that people give to you because they know that you can if you want to try and hold it in your heart. Responsibility will always come to a big result and everyone who is responsible deserves it. But the fact is, it is really hard to keep our own responsibility. When we grow older, the responsible that we must take is growing also. Sometimes we all have problems in maintaining responsibility. We haven't finished our first responsibility, but another already waits. Or sometimes we underestimate our responsibility and when it's time to bring back what you've done, you will find nothing and you will regret it. You must know that we cannot run from trust, responsible and obligation. We cannot hide from it. We just can face it
and do it.

This scholarship is one of my responsibilities. To keep this trust, I try to do my best and improve my skills and my talents. I have joined some competitions and it helps me a lot. In 2010, the competitions that I joined weren't as much as the year before. I already fell down for many times; I didn't win many competitions, sometimes my voice was loose control and shaking, my mind was blank. And it had made me unconfident and upset. I always thought that the other participants were always better than me, so I will never get the winning place. I always thought that even though I did my very best, I will never replace their place. I thought that it was all useless and meaningless. Now, I know that I was wrong. It isn't all about winning, but the spirit to stand up and face what is coming next. There's no time to be upset, regret and sit. Life can be very not easy, but we must struggle and believe that you can go through it. I know I was fall once, but I will never do the same. I don't want to disappoint others anymore. I must stand up and get through from it. I must build my confident again. I believe that 2011 will be an amazing year. I believe that I can. I will practice harder, more focus and be diligent. I just need your trust and I will show you how great I will be.

"Life is too short to wake up in the morning with regrets. Believe that everything happens for a reason. If you get a chance - take it; if it changes your life - let it. Nobody said that it would be easy. They just promised it would be worth it. "

Out of School Achievements

InaYS 2010. It was my second time joining this competition. InaYS is a science (physics, chemistry, and biology) competition actually, but in 2010, they tried to open math also. Abigail Winona, Evelyne Setiono, and I, as a team, went to Bandung to compete with other cities. We joined math competition. Our research was "The Use Of Matrices To Determine Variables in Flight Service Industry". We tried to determine how many airplanes or types of seats were needed. Unfortunately we didn't win the competition. But it was such a great experience!

It was taken at Parahyangan University, Bandung.

The finalists. Cita Hati got the front row!
From left to right : Seraphine (she won the second place in science), Elsalina, Evelyne, Jessica Lo (she won the second place in science with her partner, Seraphine), me:) , Abigail, and Vania.

It was the most challenging vocal competition that i ever had. This event was held by Jawa Pos. There were many participants, so they held auditions in some malls, like Supermall, EastCoast Center, Royal Plaza, Tunjungan Plaza, and else. I had my first audition at EastCoast Center. I sang "My Grown-Up Christmas List" by Kelly Clarkson. It wasn't perfect, but I was really glad that I passed the audition. There were only 30 people (out of 100 participants) from each categories that were picked by the judges for the next round. The second audition (semifinal) was held in Supermall. I sang "Have Yourself A Merry Little Christmas" by Christina Aguilera. It was a tough song for me because I really had to produce a beautiful dynamic and control my voice from the beginning until the end. Actually I passed the Semifinal and had the final round in Supermall again, but Jawa Pos didn't give me the certificate as a finalist. They only gave the semifinal certificate. The finalists were really great. Their vocals were awesome, especially the first winner (I forget her name). She had a really great head-voice. I didn't win this competition, but I learned to be more confident.

Broken Wings:) It was an amazing musical production. It was the greatest and the most memorable show that Cita Hati ever held. It was held on 26th February 2011 at Galaxy Exhibition Center. Broken Wings musical production told about the story of Aru people. Broken Wings was the name of Aru Headman's daughter. Aru was destroyed by workers who tried to build a new modern city. The land was destroyed, the leader was killed, but the heart of Broken Wings was never dimmed. She fought back with her caring for environments.

I was in the choir team with my friends. We were conducted by Ms. Ece, our music teacher. The songs were all awesome and originally made by Cita Hati. I loved to sing the songs again!

Aruu... A.. A.. Aruu... (2x)
From the mountain side we can see Aru
From the valley we can see the blue
Standing pine seems to dance
What a magnificent land!
